Shellbie 2013 Nascar
I drew this because I love the races and I love nascar. My family and i spend a lot of time at a lot of different race tracks. I love going to watch and race. I started racing 2 years ago and I love it. It is the first thing I look forward to in April.

I had a few problems drawing this car. As you can tell it is really shot and big. It doesn't really look right because I ran out of room shockingly. I wish I wouldn't of but I did. So I just said, whatever and I colored it and finished it. It looks great or good... A lot better than it did. It took a lot of time. I worked on it while I was at home a lot too. I missed a few days in here due to doctors appts so I had a lot of work to do.

I am very happy with this piece though. It turned out very nice and I have never tried to draw something like this before so I was very happy with myself. I actually did better than what I planned on doing. It started out and an easy car to draw but then when I was putting details in it got way harder, But i am happy because it is something I will always have and my mom will get to put it on her wall with the rest of my art. I think it is so cool I have my own wall of art. Everyone loves seeing it and always tells me how good of an artist I am.

Pencil Drawing shellbie!
I drew this lady because it was more simple and it was my first time drawing a person. If I had the regular picture you could compare. The troubles I had was drawing the hair. It still looks horrible but every time I erased it, it got worse so I just had to leave it. I like the eyes a little bit. They are different sizes because I was going to try to make her look like she was winking... But that didn't turn out so well. I also did other things as in the eye brows how they get smaller and fade because it looks better and more professional.

Final mona lisa shellbie shank
I have improved a lot! I know I have because from the first drawing to this on my eyes look better, my lips are way different, and I have a better way of drawing people and accessories. The problems I had while drawing this was my eyes. I could figure out how I wanted them and what I wanted them to be like. I also couldn't make my mind up on what kind of theme I was going to do. It seemed like it was way different because we didn't just get to copy the mona lisa, you actually had to draw it out and put in your own details. I chose this background because I love to go to the beach and it is more of a modern thing. It kind of looks like Hawaii and that is where a lot of people venture too on vacation/honeymoons. I am happy with this because I have seen how much I have changed as an artist and it is a fun hobby. If I didn't take this class I probably wouldn't of known how to draw people yet today. It is really fun and is worth taking.

Shellbie's Mask

I love how this turned out. The reason I did my mouth off to the side is because everyone always calls me an air head and They say I kind of look like that I guess... I don't know how. I had a few troubles. One of them was that i couldn't get things to stick. The tissue paper wouldn't stick and if it did I didn't like it. It either fell off or people would tear it off for some reason. Also, the eyes really didn't turn out how i wanted them too. It ended up looking like it was cross eyed and all weird. But I like it because it explains me and my personality and how i do things. Some people really liked it before it was done and I thought it was horrible! But they told me no, no, no! It's GREAT! So that kept me going and my friends helped me so it turned out very well. I chose a very colorful background. It is hard to see but I chose that because it matches my picture. I put the hearts on the background to sum it up a little and then it wouldn't be so plain. I wanted something else and i figured the hearts would go better with the person.
